Nordic Network for Media and Communication Ethics

About

The Nordic Network for Media and Communication Ethics (NordEthics) is an open network for all individuals and institutions who are interested in questions of media and communication ethics, with a focus on the Nordic countries. The network, which was founded in 2020 by Stina Bengtsson, Mats Bergman, Klaus Bruhn Jensen, and Henrik Rydenfelt aims to foster inquiry into all aspects of the field, ranging from its philosophical groundings to contemporary challenges posed by the digital media landscape and changing professional practices. The network welcomes both academic and non-academic members, from the Nordics and beyond.

The network was publicly launched in 2021, after having received a grant from the Joint Committee for Nordic research councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS) for the workshop series “Ethics ex machina? Agency, autonomy, and accountability in the digital media environment”.

Membership in the Nordic Network for Media and Communication Ethics is open for all interested parties, in the Nordics and beyond
